The tale of the Salyut Hotel is a story of collisions. Designed to be a skyscraper, its journey upwards had to stop. The original structure had to be scaled back for political reasons and this brutalist building never reached the top. However, its atomic design dominates the Kyiv skyline. A bold circular solid floating into the blue sky.
