The City of Rebirth.On April 26, 1986, the reactor of Chernobyl power plant exploded. From this tragic disaster, Slavutyc was born. A town built specifically to accommodate civilians, workers, and survivors of the tragedy. Slavutyc was immediately a project of rebirth and avant-garde. Architects from eight Soviet republics were called in to design the city, bringing their own style and national identity.
This artwork tells the miraculous Slavutyc's story of cooperation and resilience.
